La Trappe Quadrupel Oak Aged (June 2010) Since 2 years we are aging our unique La Trappe Quadrupel on oak barriques/barrels. We are using all kinds of different barrels such as new Oak, Port barrels, Whiskey barrels and Red and White wine barrels. Each of these barrels ad a unique flavour to our Quadrupel. It is only after 2 years that we release our first batch of Oak Aged Quadrupel. La Trappe Quadrupel Oak Aged is exclusively for sale at the Abbey in the local store. Jubilee Beer: La Trappe Isid'or La Trappe Isid'or has been specially developed to commemorate the 125th anniversary of Beer Brewery de Koningshoeven. The jubilee beer is named after Brother Isidorus, the first brewer of La Trappe. La Trappe Isid'or is mildly sweet amber beer with a caramel note. The beer is a little bitter to the taste and has a fruity finish. La Trappe Isid'or owes its special aroma to the Perle hop, which we grow ourselves. La Trappe Isid'or has been very succesfull, therefore it has been decided that La Trappe Isid'or also will be brewed in 2010! |
